Recipes
On a microwave safe plate, warm frozen waffle for 10 seconds. Turn over and microwave for 10 seconds more. Waffle should be soft and flexible. Fold the waffle in half in your hand and fill with scoops of your favorite California Ice Cream. Top with your favorite dessert toppings and eat like a taco!
Tips:
1) Set up a DIY Ice Cream Taco Bar and allow your guests to create their own dessert with their favorite toppings. It's fun to label the ice cream toppings with "taco" names! For example:
Whipped Cream ("Sour Cream")
Hot Fudge Sauce ("Hot Sauce")
Strawberry Ice Cream Topping ("Salsa")
Shredded Coconut ("Cheese")
Maraschino Cherries ("Tomatoes")
Gummy Fruit Wedges ("Lime Wedges")
2) It helps to scoop the ice cream into "quenelles." These oblong scoops fit perfectly into the waffle dessert taco shell. Hold a spoon sideways and gently pull it towards you across the top of the ice cream. The ice cream will fold over itself and roll into a beautiful, restaurant-style quenelle shape.
