Candied Pecans with California Blue Cheese

Ingredients:

– 8 ounces Real California blue cheese – 1 cup Real California unsalted butter – 10 ounces pecan halves – 1 cup white sugar

Directions:

Melt butter in a sauce pan on low heat. Add pecans and sugar and cook until pecans are candied. Place each pecan half on a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to cool for 30 minutes. To assemble, sandwich a generous amount of blue cheese between two pecan pieces. Serve at room temperature or bake for 5 minutes at 350 degrees until cheese is slightly melted.
